The Troop was founded in the summer of 1985. Its first scoutmaster was Barry Pegg., and first assistant scoutmaster was Tom Humber.

Starting out with 7 members, we have grown to almost 25 scouts. We have a very active program. We camp every month of the year, except December. Along with most District events such as the Klondike Derby, Cub-o-Ree, First Aid Meet, etc., our favorite activities include fishing, kayaking/canoeing, hiking, and backpacking on the Appalachian Trail. Another special interest of our Troop is orienteering, which is a sport involving map and compass skills.

Our Troop also particularly enjoys adventurous summer camps. In the last five years we have been to camps in three states as well as Canada.

PS -- We like to cook, but we like to eat more. No Roadkill Stew Here!
